| I know other
companies tout wheels on their wash bucket but my driveway is slightly
inclined and I would be constantly chasing the bucket down the driveway.
I'm approaching senior citizen status and I don't have any problem lifting
a 5-gallon pail, filled half way with water.
I place the Grit Guard
Insert in the Master Detailer Wash Bucket, squirt in my favorite car wash
shampoo (Eimann
Fabrik Gentle Shampoo) and wash my
bike's wheels.
Then I dump the dirty water and create a fresh batch of suds to wash the
rest of my bike.
Washing tips from a pro:
Our customer Rick Norman
of Rick Norman Detailing goes a little further. Rick specializes in
detailing high end bikes and vehicles and can't risk putting a swirl in a customer's
Harley. Rick starts with two, 5-gallon pails. The first pail has a Grit
Guard Insert in the bottom and he fills it with a little stronger shampoo
for washing wheels. The second pail has TWO Grit Guard Inserts in it, one
on top of the other. He uses a gentle shampoo in this pail for washing the car.
Rick claims the second Grit Guard Insert reduces the grit suspended in the
wash water by another 50%. If I owned a Ferrari, or even a black car, I
would do the same thing.
